Hi, I’m a first-year Ph.D. Student at Carnegie Mellon University, affiliated with the Language Technologies Institute in the School of Computer Science. I am fortunate to be advised by Prof. Sean Welleck.

I received my B.Eng. in Software Engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University. During my undergraduate studies, I had the opportunity to work with Prof. Reyhaneh Jabbarvand (UIUC), Prof. Xiaodong Gu (SJTU), Prof. Xinyu Wang (University of Michigan), and Prof. Alex Aiken (Stanford).

My research interests lie broadly in machine learning, spanning agentic systems and model training. I also have a background in programming languages and software engineering. My recent work mainly focuses on two directions:

(1) Building scalable agentic systems for challenging real-world tasks from software engineering to scientific discovery. [Rustine] [Astra]

(2) Advancing models’ formal reasoning capabilities to synthesize verifiably correct programs and proofs, with the goal of improving the trustworthiness and safety of systems as coding agents become increasingly widely adopted. [Quokka] [PoPilot]
